Individual

Psychotherapy

During individual sessions, presented and underlying issues are explored and processed on a one to one basis. Various counselling techniques are used from Neuro-Linguistic programming (NLP), Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfullness and Clinical Hypnotherapy techniques according to the individual’s unique needs.

Areas of Focus in general individual therapy:

  • Pain and loss

  • Crises (for example rape, hi-jacking, burglary, suicide, death)

  • Trauma (Acute or longstanding)

  • Fear, anxiety or panic attacks

  • Depression

  • Childhood needs not met

  • Abuse (childhood or adult)

  • Post-traumatic stress

  • Infertility or abortion(s) or miscarriage(s)

  • Feeling disconnected or dissociated

  • Disability

  • Relationship problems

  • Intimacy issues

  • Self-esteem or self-confidence issues

  • Weight issues

  • Health issues, for example cancer, heart attack, MS

  • Co-dependency (victim, perpetrator or rescuer roles)

  • Repetitive destructive relationship patterns

  • Addictions (any form of addiction including process addictions like pornography, sex addiction and love addiction)

  • Sexual issues

  • Sexual identity and orientation

  • Divorce or separation

 

In therapy, you are assisted to heal the wounds from the past and the present and to reconnect with the real you. You are supported and guided to find joy and meaning in life and you are assisted to learn coping mechanisms to deal with the challenges in your life.

 

As you connect with and heal yourself, you are able to influence existing relationships positively and are able to choose to surround yourself with meaningful relationships as an emotionally healthy person can have an emotionally healthy relationship.
